RAISA

Raisa Torres was born and raised in Lima, Peru. A fast paced juxposition of natural and man made wonders. Communities thriving with art and communities devastated with poverty, all coexisting together. The city hugged by the oceans and embraced by the desert. A country known for its wonder of the world, Machu Picchu. But, little known about the 600 different fruits that tickle the senses with each curious bite.

After a degree in marketing and 11 years in tech companies she felt deeply lost in the 'normal' way of living. It wasn't til 2022 when she received a Life Coaching Certification that she felt a huge pull to express through art all she has learned of the complexity of human emotions. Turning a lifelong hobby into a dedicated career.

In Wisconsin she found the quiet and peaceful environment to flow and express her inner talents that she allowed to live dormant within her life. Pulling from modernism, cubism, and surrealist movements, she love crafts simple strokes to move big emotions. Her paintings usually with less lines and more feel. Allowing different perceptions to create their own interpretations, creating a life to each painting.

RAISA takes aim to challenging viewers to travel into their emotions - to feel and question them.
